Commissions
How Does it Work?
There are two ways to commission me.
You can do a Scientific Piece or a Personal Commission.
Scientific Pieces are for scientists and people working with scientists.
These are informative visual media used for scientific illustration and/or communication.
Personal Commissions are for anybody.
These are pieces that are meant to decorate your home or gift to a loved one.
The two have different requirements and result in different products. Please read carefully and make sure you are commissioning what best suits your needs.

Scientific Pieces
Getting Started
- Provide scientific references, papers, or applicable information. Please be very specific with what concept you want to get across.
- No references may result in additional fees or be declined.
- A meeting is required for a scientific piece. An online meeting is perfectly acceptable.
Process Stage
- Progress images will be sent for your review to approve or make revisions before the work is finished.
- Twenty (20) revisions may be requested before incurring additional fees.
- I want to be collaborative, but there is a limit.
Finalization
- Once the finalized artwork is accepted you will receive full res files.
- Please inform the Artist on what form files are needed for your project.
- No physical product will be delivered unless there is an express written agreement.
Important Information
- Scientific pieces are for scientific contexts, programs, papers, communication, and educational purposes only.
- You may not sell the work for personal profit.
- If published in a scientific paper please give credit.
- An additional purchase of a physical copy or original piece for personal use is sometimes an option, please ask the Artist if this is an option you are interested in.

Personal Commissions
Getting Started
- Provide visual references.
- Non-visual references may result in rejection of commission.
- Explicitly agree to a full resolution image or an original piece.
- Original artwork will incur shipping fees.
- No people! Only animals!
Process Stage
- Progress images of the sketch will be sent for your review to approve or make revisions before the work is finished.
- Three (3) revisions may be requested.
- More than three (3) will incur additional fees.
Finalization
- Once finalized, the work cannot be edited.
- Art will be sent via mail or as a high res file, as decided in the beginning.
- Original artwork will incur shipping fees.

By commissioning me, this means you have properly read, understand, and AGREE to the terms of service.
Payment
- A 50% deposit is required.
- The final product will only be delivered once payment is received in full.
- All payments are final, no refunds.
- In the event that the Artist cannot complete a commission, a partial refund depending on how much has been completed will be given.
- Payment is via Paypal.
- An invoice will be sent by the Artist.
